The Bonnaroo Works Fund (BWF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2009 to support the festival's mission of creating a positive impact through arts, education, sustainability, and social initiatives. By purchasing a ticket to Bonnaroo 2025, attendees directly contribute to the fund, as $1 from every ticket sold goes toward sustainability efforts on-site. These efforts include projects like a permanent compost pad, a solar array, carbon offsets, and food recovery programs that donate surplus food to local food banks.

At the festival, the Bonnaroo Works Fund is active in several ways. In Planet Roo, attendees can visit the Roo Works HQ to bid on exclusive autographed items from Bonnaroo artists or one-of-a-kind artwork in the BWF Silent Auction. The proceeds from these auctions support local nonprofits and schools, helping to fund community programs in Manchester and beyond. The fund also supports the annual 5K race around the campgrounds, where participants can run, walk, or stroll in costumes, with all proceeds benefiting BWF initiatives.

The Bonnaroo Works Fund also enhances the festival experience through educational and community-focused programming. The Roo Works Café near the Fountain in Planet Roo features talent from Nashville nonprofits like Pitch Music and Notes for Notes, offering a space to enjoy coffee, listen to music, and learn about the fund's impact. Additionally, events like the Bonnaroots Dinner and the World's Longest Salad, which support grassroots causes like Oxfam America and Eat for Equity, are made possible through BWF's efforts, blending philanthropy with the festival's communal spirit.
